BBC iPlayer is already a staple on Nokia's N96. And after last week's announcement bringing the VOD service to PMPs including the Sony Walkman and Archos 5, Auntie has now said it's testing a new system to allow stacks pf mobile phones to download tunes over–the–air.At the moment, only the N96 can do this, with other devices using either streaming networks (the iPhone and iPod Touch) or having to be sideloaded with last night's snooker and a few episodes of My Family.The new move will see use Open Mobile Alliance tech used to make it all possible. That means mobile TV, in a very British style, isn't far off at all.
