Asus Transformer Prime Ice Cream Sandwich update starts rolling out

The Taiwanese tech giant has made good on its promise to deliver Android 4.0 to the quad-core wonder tablet

Lucky owners of the Asus Transformer Prime will be delighted to hear that Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich updates are now rolling out to devices – simply fire up your beloved slate and check for an OTA update via the settings menu.

Don't be disappointed if the update hasn't quite reached you yet, though – you can still head on over to Android Police where you can download and install Android 4.0 manually.

So far reports of nippier web browsing and an overall increase in fluidity and speed have been reported, no doubt thanks to Ice Cream Sandwich's more efficient use of the beastly Tegra 3 core residing within the Prime's sleek metallic innards.

If you're still on the fence about buying a Prime then don't forget to check out the recently unveiled Asus Transformer Prime HD and Asus' new range of netbooks, all of which we're getting up close and personal with here at CES.
