In an interview with the New York Times, Asus vice chairman jonathan Tsang admitted the company was sitting on an e-book reader and a Wii-esque game console that it believes is better than Nintendo's offering.
Apparently the controllers are better at reflecting motion than the Wii controllers, but it is the lack of games that has prevented Asus bringing the console to market.
“Sometimes it is a chicken-and-egg problem,” Mr. Tsang said. “We don’t have the chicken, so cannot have the egg.”
While it keeps those two projects on the back burner for the time being, Tsang has said that he hopes that other products within the business will win over consumers with their design.
“Our goal is to provide products that are better than Apple’s,” Mr. Tsang told the New York Times.
Well it's certainly something to aim for. Be sure to check out our hands-on video with the rather lovely looking Asus Seashell, and let us know your thoughts below.
