We only got our grubby hands on the slick new 9in Eee PC 900 last week. But now, Asus has confirmed they’re going large and developing a ten–incher.
The news comes straight from Asustek’s main man Jerry Shen, talking at an industry powwow in Taiwan. "Many have asked us for bigger screens and better usability. That's what made us start developing the Eee PC 900,” he said, before going on to say a ten–inch version is coming.
Any word on a release date or price wasn’t forthcoming, but once they do up the size, expect the damage on your already recession–destroyed wallet to be substantial. Anyway, we’re holding out for an Alan Partridge–sized 12in model here at Stuff Towers.
Seeing as the lingering wait for another Eee PC could be as much as another year, you’re best plumping for the slick as hell 900 which will be packing the Intel Atom when it's released in August. We put it through its paces last week, so check out our hands–on video review and read our thoughts on what is surely the planet’s best portable PC.
