The 1005HA is very much like its sibling with regards to specs, except it will boast a few more hours battery life and a cheaper price tag.
Thanks to a lithium ion battery, Asus reckons you could get up to 10 hours of usage from a single charge (the 1008HA manages 6). We reckon that might be a bit ambitious, but we'll be sure to give it a good go when we get our hands on it.
Of course, the improved battery life does come at a cost in the style stakes. The ion battery makes the machine a bit thicker than the original Seashell, but you will get a bit knocked off the price to compensate.
It's thought the 1005HA will ship for around £30 less than the 1008HA at £349, although this as not been confirmed as yet.
