Assassin’s Creed: Liberation coming to PS Vita
Handheld outing for the Assassin’s Creed series will feature a female protagonist and similar setting to Assassin’s Creed III

The Assassin’s Creed series is coming to handheld gaming, with Assassin’s Creed: Liberation now scheduled for an October 30th release on the PS Vita.
The game will be set in the same time period as Assassin’s Creed III, but in New Orleans and New Mexico rather than New England – and will star a female assassin named Aveline. Unlike previous AC protagonists, Aveline isn’t a direct descendant of Desmond Miles; according to Official PlayStation Magazine, she’s “a French/African woman born into a wealthy family”.
