Appseed lets you turn doodles into working apps

This clever Kickstarter project lets you sketch app designs and turn them into working prototypes

If you've ever doodled an idea for a world-beating app onto a napkin, then AppSeed is just the thing for you.

Currently raising funds on Kickstarter, Appseed promises to make app prototyping as quick and easy as a sketch.

How does it work? The premise is simple enough: you sketch out your app and then AppSeed captures the design and helps convert selected parts of the sketch into UI elements – like buttons, text fields and maps.

You can then run the prototype on your device and share it in an HTML5 format with other people. You can even send the design to a layered Photoshop file to spruce up. Appseed is initially iOS-only, but will be ported to Android should the Kickstarter reach its stretch goals.

Currently the Kickstarter has raised CAD$11,000 (£6600) of its CAD$30,000 (£18,000) goal with another 15 days to go. Here's hoping it makes its goal – we've got a few ideas we want to jot down.
