Where do these Apple rumours come from? The latest is that its fabled OS X 10.5 (aka Leopard) won't be leaving its enclosure in time for the spring deadline. There is some credence to this one. No final build has been announced and, what with it taking a few weeks to burn the odd million or so discs and get them to stores, a few people are starting to glance anxiously at their wrist watches.Word from Apple, though, is that its answer to Vista (one other than a loud raspberry) will be 'on time'. That’s according to a 'source' at Apple who spoke to Jupiter Research, anyway.Granted, that still leaves a rather vague window of 'spring', which could mean anything up to June 21st, depending on your seasonal definition, but that's still better than the rumoured October launch date.Of course, Apple always stays tight-lipped ahead of any launch but we can't help but notice that Apple's World Wide Developer Conference kicks off on 11th June with a trademark Steve Jobs keynote. We'll be watching.
