Apple's Jeff Robbin is heading Apple TV project

The man behind iTunes and the iPod is at the helm of Apple's next big venture

Following revelations that Steve Jobs 'cracked' the Apple television set, Bloomberg's sources have reported that Jeff Robbin – the man who spearheaded the development of iTunes and the iPod – will be heading the secretive Apple television project.

Apple has – unsurprisingly – released no official statement or acknowledgement of any such project so far, but sources say that the Cupertino tech giant already has a prototype in the works.

Either way, it's a nice change from the onslaught of iPhone 5 rumours that have plagued the interwebs over the past year – and we're sure we'll be hearing a lot more Apple TV rumours in the coming months.
