Then it started putting the letter 'i' in front of everything it made and the rest, as they say, is iPod history.Today, fresh from the iPhone and Apple TV launch, Steve Jobs and co are staring at a cool, record-breaking, one billion dollar profit. And that's just from the last three months (cue Doctor Evil style finger poses).That humungous haul has come from, among other things, sales of 1.6 million Macs and 21 million iPods.If only we'd bought Apple shares instead of Amstrad.
