According to the fellas at Apple Insider, stocks of the 8GB are running at an all time low, with retailers saying they cannot get hold of enough of the lower–specced model to meet rampant demand.
The 16GB model would probably take its place, with a 32GB rolling up before Christmas. With enough space to stash hours of video and a massive 16,000 songs, it would take the storage honours away from the 24GB–packing N96 and give Apple bragging rights to boot.
Obviously, there are no noises coming out of Cupertino, but don’t be shocked to see something very soon indeed.
