Apple bringing Siri to Macs?

Cupertino’s job posting suggests the chatty personal assistant may be headed for pastures new

Is Apple bringing Siri to Macs? A new Apple job posting suggests that could be the case: it’s for a “Siri UI Engineer” and requires that applicants have a “familiarity with Unix, especially Mac OS X” as well as a “passion for the Macintosh platform”.

There’s little mention of iOS in the ad, so it really does seem that whoever lands this job will be helping Apple bring Siri to the next edition of Mac OS X. The last OS X upgrade was 10.8 Mountain Lion in July of 2012, and we’re expecting the next to appear around the same time this year. And now we’d be surprised if it doesn’t have Siri on board.
