As codenames go, it doesn't augur well. Apple Brick, initially unearthed by the hounds at Electric Pig and 9to5mac, was thought to be a swanky new product with a rubbish name. But it looks like it's far more than that. 9to5mac has heard word that it's whole new way of building MacBooks, using lasers to carve out the laptops from one block of aluminium. That would make them far stronger and give the competition nightmares that we can't even fathom. How likely? Well an Apple exec did say earlier this year they we were working on something "competitors won’t be able to match.” Word is that that product will be unveiled on 14 October. That's next week. Here's hoping eh?
