According to a T-Mobile bigwig the UK’s Android Market will be getting a new delivery of paid apps from 12th March 2009 – yep, tomorrow.
T-Mobile’s Regan Whitehead told an Android press conference earlier today: ‘From tomorrow, UK customers will have paid apps on the T-Mobile G1, and there’ll be a wide selection of paid apps on the market.’
Whitehead didn’t get into any specifics about what will be on sale, so we’ll just have to wait a few more hours to see, but we can imagine plenty of developers have been itching to produce premium software for the G1.
Indeed, the G1’s popularity – a fifth of new T-Mobile customers are buying it, apparently – suggests that there’s a nice lot of money to be made out of apps. We can’t wait to see what’s in store.
