AirPort Express may be tiny but it's not lacking any power. Apple's just given it an 802.11n fuel injection, to make it the world’s smallest 802.11n-based mobile base station.

For those who aren't already aquainted, AirPort Express plugs directly into a wall socket to offer wi-fi access, wireless printing and iTunes streaming to a nearby stereo or speakers from any handy Internet connection.

The little 'n' means it's now five times as fast as the old model, with twice the reach to boot. Course, you'll need suitable 802.11n gear at the receiving end to appreciate the improvement - good job, then, that it's now standard across all new Mac notebooks and iMacs, as well as Apple TV.

Good news, too, that it's exactly the same price as the old model - bit of a bummer if you've just bought one, though.
