AA’s new sat-nav software won’t be confined to its Navigator units. It’s now migrated over to PDAs.Coming in a tenner under the price of TomTom’s Navigator 6 software, the AA effort cites ease of use as its USP.Like its all-in-one units the PDA version gets easy icon menus and eye-pleasing 3D maps. A sojourn to that little hotel in the country via that restaurant you heard so much about should be simple too, thanks to POI’s direct from AA’s sumptuous database.Speed cameras are on there as well but watch out after the first thirty days when the free trial ends. You’ll be coughing up an extra £100 for the privilege of keeping your license clean for the next three years from then on – probably cheaper than just taking the points.
