We've hit five megapixels this year already with the Nokia N95, Samsung G600 and superb Sony Ericsson K850i but Moto could be about to trump them all – in the pixel stakes at least – with the rumoured 'Skarven'.Like all Motorolas, that's just a code name, no doubt to be remonikered in usual ROKR, RAZR, KRZR fashion. It's come to light thanks to a Motorola presentation in Amsterdam which accidentally-on-purpose included four shots of hitherto unseen handsets. The Skarven is billed as having a stonking 8MP cam and sizeable, new-N95-matching, 2.8in screen. Also spotted was the 'Texel' music phone, with ROKR E8 (pictured) style morphing keypad for switching between phone and music controls. Then there's the Kodak-branded 'X PIXL' with 5megapixels under its lens and the intriguing 'Genghis' – a sort of budget Blackberry complete with QWERTY keypad.Moto's staying tight-lipped about all four, telling us it can't comment on rumours, but word is they'll be out early next year. Here's hoping.
