Still after a cheap iPhone? Well, it looks like you’re right out of luck. Just over a week after they slashed the price of the 8GB model, Carphone Warehouse says there’s no more to be had.
In an official statement, sent to us here at Stuff, they said, “Due to unprecedented demand we have now sold out of the 8GB iPhone and we're currently reviewing the stock situation. In the meantime, customers can still purchase the 16GB iPhone at the standard price at The Carphone Warehouse.”
When pushed on whether ‘reviewing stock’ meant no more 8GB iPhones, Carphone remained schtum. We’d be amazed if they did, especially with a 3G version potentially landing at WWDC in six weeks. O2 has reportedly called an end to any plans to stock more of Apple's lower storage cells, with the product coming 'to end of life'.
Still, the price cut’s worked a treat, with tons of the phones shifted. Now all we need is a cheaper 16GB version to fuel those 32GB rumours. Come on then chaps.
