Clocking in at 16.75mm, the LG Prada II might not sound super thin, but factor in it's slide out 'board and you're looking at a slinky piece of kit that fashion victims the world over will be clawing each other to get their hands on.

It has a better touchscreen

The original Prada phone beat the iPhone to the touchscreen punch, but the lack of multitouch made it feel a bit, well, rubbish. The new model promises to be better than the old one, although LG is keeping schtum about what exactly we can expect. All will be revealed at a London launch event later.

It's got a proper keyboard

The slide out keyboard makes this both trendy and functional. Not something many fashion phones can lay claim to. Whether this is down to the original touchscreen being a marked disappointment remains a moot point. But it's great for posers who need to do real work too.

It's got some awesome extras

The LG Prada Link is a wrist device that'll alert you to texts, calls and alarms. Ok, you'll look like one of Prada's haute couture models (i.e. a bit of a twerp), but what price fashion status, eh?

It's coming out next week

LG has promised us that you'll be able to lay your hands on the Prada II before the end of November, which by our calculations is next week. Sadly, we don't have a price or carrier information yet, so stay tuned for news as we get it.

For more info, keep an eye on our Watch and Listen section for a hands–on video from the official launch event later today.
