The first iPhones go on sale in New York at 11pm tonight UK time but we're still in the dark about when the fabled handset might arrive here. That could be about to change because rumours suggest an announcement could be made as early as Monday to reveal the network carrier (or carriers) for Europe.Over in the States, the iPhone is an AT&T exclusive but newswireless.net claims to have been told by insiders that Apple is signing deals with Vodafone, T-Mobile and Carphone Warehouse to bring a 3G version to Europe some time towards the end of the year. That could mean some sort of Carphone Warehouse exclusive when iPhone first goes on sale, as with Nokia's 8600 Luna. It's possible that it could be on Vodafone in the UK but T-Mobile in other countries where the German network rules the roost - or it could be available on both across Europe, which might inject a little competition into those costly iPhone price plans. We'll keep you updated on any announcements, meanwhile keep your eyes on the blogs for the latest on the US launch.EssentialsApple iPhonePrice: £TBA ($500, $600 in US)On sale: TBA (Today in US)Contact: AppleRelated links:iPhone micrositeRelated stories:Future Stuff: iPhone showdown: T-Mobile v VodafoneSTUFF ESSENTIALS – iPhone applicationsiPhone's US price plans unveiled
