As if 3 Mobile's promise of broadband-anywhere via a USB modem wasn't sweet enough, you can now get a free laptop to plug it into. Sign up at PC World for an 18-month subscription at £35 per month, and the store will hand you a spanking new Advent 9912 laptop to go with your dongle.

The service promises mobile broadband at speeds of up to 2.8Mbps with a 3GB-a-month download limit – enough for 100 hours of surfing, 200 MP3 downloads and 100 two-minute views of YouTube wackiness.

The Celeron C530-powered lappy comes with 80GB hard disk and 1GB or RAM. If you're after something more powerful, PC World will simply knock off £350 from a range of ten machines, including the Advent 9915w complete with Intel Core 2 Duo chipset (pictured). Normal cost £480; yours for £130. We'll take two.
