We heard about 3's talks with Spotify back in August, and now it seems the pair have signed a partnership to distribute Spotify on 3 phones.
The HTC Hero is thought to be the first phone under 3 to come with the Spotify app pre-installed, and is expected to launch before Christmas.
A whole range of 3 phones featuring the app will then follow, putting itself up against the likes of Nokia's Comes with Music service.
Details as to prices for Spotify tariffs are to be confirmed, but they will include mobile access to Spotify's ad-free premium service allowing for unlimited music streaming, and offline listening for a number of tracks as well.
Last week we heard INQ was working on a Spotify-branded phone, so perhaps this will be one of the first to launch on 3 designed specifically for Spotify.
It remains to be seen if this turns out to be true, but just last week Spotify founder Daniel Ek wrote in a blog post that he was focusing on "significantly improving our portability". Interesting to say the least.
