ViewSonic has been an alternative to expensive gaming monitors, offering a wide range of products for any and most gaming needs. Curved monitors have also been the talk of the town lately, with each and every brand making their mark with their releases. The VX3258-2KC-mhd is ViewSonic’s answer to an affordable curved gaming monitor.

The VX3258 is a 32-inch curved gaming monitor, with a WQHD resolution of ip to 2560 x 1440. The monitor is also backed up by a 144 Hz refresh rate, AMD FreeSync, and a 85% NTSC Colour Coverage, all of these in play makes for a smooth and hassle-free experience. So whether you’re playing graphical powerhouses like Battlefield V, high pixel-art experiences like Hyper Light Drifter, or even Fortnite, the monitor does its job to give you a lush and vibrant image.

The best part of this monitor that ViewSonic added is the exclusive “View Modes” that is packed into the monitor. There is the “Mono”, “Game”, “Movie”, “Web”, and “Mac” configurations, which suits all the needs and uses you would have with the VX3258. The surprising “Mac” mode is really handy and it’s nice to see ViewSonic not leaving Mac users behind.

The major flaw of this monitor is actually the speakers, with it facing the back of the monitor. Meaning, if you don’t have a wall behind the monitor to bounce off the audio, you’re aren’t going to hear much. Better stick with external speakers on this one. And the monitor for intends and purposes, is quite poor when it comes to the different angles you can tilt it to. It can only slightly tilt up and down. Another issues is that the base of the monitor doesn’t exactly sit all that high, and there’s no way to mitigate that. So if you want this monitor to stand a little taller, you’re going to have to put a base beneath it or something.

All in all, the ViewSonic VX3258 provides the user with an immersive gaming screen, crisp and vibrant images, and more than enough configurations to customise your experience. Besides the speaker hiccup and other minor flaws, this is a great monitor.
