You, yes you, can now own a pair of Google Glass

Bypass the Google Explorer program selection process for a day
You, yes you, can now own a pair of Google Glass

Have you been infuriated that Google has made Google Glass available to just a handpicked fraction of users? Well, turn that frown upside down - we have good news for you.

For a limited time on April 15th at 9am EDT, the search giant will open its doors and allow you, or anyone for that matter, to join its Glass Explorer program and order a set of its trendy Explorer Edition Glass online.

It is unsure how many units exactly will be up for grabs, but the company claimed in its Google+ blog post that quantities will be limited.

The initiative is probably Google’s shot at gaining feedback from a wider audience before it pushes its Web-ready glasses out to the public.

“Every day we get requests from those of you who haven’t found a way into the program yet, and we want your feedback too,” it said in its blog post.

Costing $1,500 (S$1,905), the offer is valid to all adult US residents with a US shipping address.

For those in other parts of the world desperate to get them on your face, get your friends, relatives or contacts in the US to help score you a pair.

Go ahead, mark your calendars. Google Glass can be booked here
