With Samsung's next phablets coming around the corner, Sony can be forgiven for deciding to steal a little thunder. Sony Malaysia's been teasing a photo of the Xperia Z3+ on its Facebook page, usually a sign that the model will be brought in soon.
While the phone is already on sale at importers such as online store Directd (RM2,599), it has yet to be officially launched here. The Z3+ is the international version of the Xperia Z4, a Japan exclusive. The Z3+ is a thinner, lighter upgrade to the current Z3 with a 5.2-inch full HD screen. It also gets fitted with the Snapdragon 810 64-bit processor 2.0GHz and 3GB of RAM as well as 32GB of internal storage, with a microSD card slot. It retains the Z3's 20.7MP Exmor camera but has a better front-facing shooter at 5MP.
It will probably appeal to those who prefer Sony's design aesthetic and the high water-resistance doesn't hurt either.
