Xiaomi’s just announced another TV. It’s the Mi TV 3, a 60-inch 4K display (made by LG) that has a 11.6mm side profile at its thinnest pint.
It also offers a high colour gamut, MMEC motion compensation and a rather competitive price of RMB4,999 (RM3,327).
Besides the TV, Xiami also what looks like a fancy sound bar that it calls the Mi TV smart board, that it calls a 'next-gen main board' that will help transform TV, displays and projectors into smart TVs for RMB999 (RM665). Think of it as a stand that houses some pretty decent electronics: a 1.4GHz processor, Mali T760 graphics processor, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of Flash storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 4K 60fps encoding. It also houses built-in speakers in a full-metal body design.
You can complete the home theatre setup by adding a 6.5-inch Mi Subwoofer for RMB599 (RM399) and a voice remote control for another RMB99 (RM66).
