Xiaomi’s just announced that its Redmi Note 3 will be available this April 6. Those of you who held off buying the Redmi Note 2 will be glad to know the Redmi Note 3 looks like a better deal.
With a Snapdragon 650, 64-bit hexacore processor, 5.5in Full HD display at 401ppi, fingerprint sensor, 4,050mAh battery, dual-SIM support, 4G and microSD support for up to 32GB of storage, on paper the Redmi Note 3 seems a pretty good deal for a midrange phone.
The phone comes has an all-metal chassis with a smooth matte finish, a departure from the previous Redmi Notes’ plastic build. As for the camera, it’s 16MP in the back with a dual-tone dual-LED flash and a front 5MP camera with a notification LED. There’s a standard Micro USB port for charging as well as data transfer.
At 8.7mm, the phone is also rather slim, which gives it even more of a polished feel.
The phone comes in two variants, the 16GB model with 2GB of RAM for RM749 and the 32GB model with 3GB of RAM for RM849. Both versions come in either gold or grey.
