The Redmi K20 Pro was recently launched in India, and along with the phone’s release was an unveiling of a rather special variant of the phone. Surprisingly, it wasn’t the Avengers Limited Edition that was announced a few weeks back, but rather a far more fancier variant - the K20 Pro Signature Edition.
The K20 Pro Signature Edition may retain the same hardware specifications as its non-pretentious siblings, but with the major difference being that its rear cover is made entirely of solid gold - possibly 18-carat - and sports a diamond studded ‘K’ logo on its bottom right. So how much does this luxurious Redmi smartphone cost? Well, if you see yourself being able to afford the deposit for a Lotus Evija, then the INR 480,000 (~MYR 28,000) price tag wouldn’t be a problem for you. Clearly this variant is not for everyone, and Redmi is only producing 20 units of these to be shipped out.
Just a quick recap, the standard Redmi K20 Pro features a Snapdragon 855 SoC processor, 6.39" notch-less AMOLED display, triple camera setup (48MP+13MP+8MP) at its back, a 20MP pop-up selfie camera, and a battery capacity of 4,000 mAh. While it may not have been officially launched in Malaysia, those interested are able to grab a K20 Pro from local retailer Mobile2Go with a retail price starting from MYR 1,898.
Aside from its unveil, there is no official word on the Redmi K20 Pro Signature Edition’s availability just yet. By the time it does ship though (and for Redmi, as well as their customer’s sake), we just hope the units wouldn’t “conveniently” get lost during shipment.
