XiaoMi had already shown off and released their upcoming flagship smartphone in the Chinese and European markets earlier this year. The XiaoMi Mi 9 is expected to enter Malaysian markets just as soon as XiaoMi confirmed the Redmi 7 and Redmi Note 7 will be coming to us starting from the 27th of March. We now know that the Mi 9 is definitely coming to Malaysia.
As reported by an official XiaoMi retailer in Malaysia, Direct D, the Mi 9 will retail for MYR 1999, with customers being able to pre-order for MYR 200. The phone will arrive sometime in April, with only the lower spec model, the one with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, available for pre-order right now. This model of the Mi 9 also comes in 2 colours, that being Piano Black and Ocean Blue.
The Mi 9 comes with 6.39" FULL HD+ display, as well as the aforementioned storage and RAM, and equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. The main attraction would be the three rear cameras, a 48 MP main camera, a 16 MP ultrawide camera, and a 12MP telephoto lens. Along with a 20 MP front camera and 3300 mAh fast-charging battery, this Mi 9 is really a step above its predecessors.
Ardent fans can pre-order the Mi 9 from DirectD, in the meantime, we can only wait for the official launch of the Mi 9 to know the actual release date of this new flagship smartphone.
