Yes, the Chinese phonemaker’s flagship phablet is most likely coming to Malaysian shores next week. How do we know this? Invites have been sent out by Xiaomi for a local event happening next week July 22 and it is very likely the launch of the Mi Note.
Mi Hong Kong will start selling the Mi Note coming next Tuesday, so it is pretty likely the launch next week is for the phablet.
Specs wise the phablet is fitted with a 5.7-inch Full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 2.5Ghz quad-core, 3GB of RAM and you get to choose between 16GB or 64GB of internal storage capacity. As for the camera, the main shooter is 13MP OIS sensor while the front-facing camera has a 4MP sensor. Battery wise the phablet is fitted with a 3000mAh battery to power the whole phone and the phone just weighs 161g with a thickness of 6.9mm.
The phone is built with a metal frame and a glass back that curves to the sides and the device supports dual SIM. If you think that this is not good enough for you, you can opt for the Mi Note Pro which will most likely not be unveiled next week so you may have to wait a little bit longer. Now the Mi Note Pro is using a 2K Quad HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 octa-core clocking at2GHz, boosted with 4GB of LP-DDR4 RAM. Externally it looks the same with the Mi Note except for the gold metal finish on the sides.
If prices are to follow Hong Kong’s, we may expect the Mi Note to be selling within RM1400-1500 for the 64GB version.
