Vivo Malaysia introduced their latest smartphone yesterday - the Vivo V17 Pro - which has a quad rear camera setup and a unique dual front camera popup. Here's everything you need to know about the smartphone.
One thing to note about the device is that is not the same as the one released in India. For starters, the quad rear camera on the local set consists of a 48MP (f/1.8, main) + 8MP (f/2.2, super-wide) + 2MP (bokeh) + 2MP (super macro), we will be missing out the 13MP telephoto lens.
On the front, the dual front camera setup is using a pop-up mechanism with a 32MP (f/2.0, main) + 8MP (f/2.2, super-wide) combo. There are also hidden proximity and light sensors in the pop-up mechanism.
By having this setup, this allows the V17 Pro to have a full screen AMOLED display measuring 6.44-inches (FHD+) with a screen-to-body ratio of 91.65%. Under the screen also features their In-Display Fingerprint technology that gives the phone a really slick form factor on the back.
The V17 Pro is running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. For power, it uses a 4100mAh battery pack with an 18W Dual-Engine Fast Charge support and is running on FunTouch OS 9.1 (based on Android 9.0) out of the box.
The Vivo V17 Pro is priced at MYR1699 and is available in two colours - Knight Black or Crystal White. Pre-orders are open until 4 October and will be available on Lazada and Shopee. For Lazada, customers will get a mystery gift worth RM318 whereas those who get it on Shopee, will get an extra portable electric juicer. Of course, you can also pre-order it on Vivo's official online store.
