Vivo’s First 5G Phone To Be Unveiled At MWC Shanghai 2019

Speculated to be an update to their 2019 Apex concept smartphone

Vivo has recently released an image teasing what it has in store for Mobile World Congress (MWC) held in Shanghai this Wednesday. With 5G being the emphasis of the teaser image, it’s possible that the company plans to showcase its first ever phone with 5G support.

Back in January, the company introduced the Vivo Apex 2019 concept smartphone which could be the model that this upcoming phone is based on. The Apex 2019 featured a seamless unibody which had no ports, holes, or buttons in favour of a minimalist design. It was previously reported that the concept phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, 256GB of internal storage, and 12GB of RAM.

Aside from the upcoming 5G phone, Vivo also announced that it will also be showcasing its new 120W Super FlashCharge technology during MWC Shanghai 2019. Given that these two announcements are in sync with this Wednesday’s MWC Shanghai event, there’s a possible chance that Vivo’s upcoming phone will feature the Super FlashCharge technology.

MWC Shanghai 2019 will be held on 26-28 June 2019. Stay tuned to Stuff Asia for more information in regards to the event, as well more updates from Vivo.
