If you wanted something beyond the ordinary, the Yotaphone brings a breath of fresh air in the world of slates and glass front facades.
Here in Malaysia, we watched its worldwide launch, wishing that the dual-screen Yotaphone is available in Malaysia.
Battery saving tech
10 months after it was unveiled, the innovative smartphone is now finally available here. Hailing from Russia, the Yotaphone got the hands-on treatment from us earlier in our video review.
It features two screens – a normal 4.3in IPS display behind a Gorilla Glass panel in the front, and the big differentiator – a similar 4.3in E-Paper Display (EPD) at the back. It also features a dual-core processor for speedy app executions and also LTE connectivity to support our addiction to everything internet.
Why the e-paper display? Two words - power saving. The display only uses power when the display refreshes, so you can essentially keep an image locked on the back panel forever if you need to. Convenient when the battery is low and you need the map to your next destination displayed on screen for example.
If you want to get one, it's yours for RM1699, available from the Yotaphone online store.
