Tekken coming to Android, iOS soon

Tekken will be getting a mobile version - sadly it looks like a free to play

Classic fighting game Tekken is making its way to mobile but if you're expecting a full port, that likely won't happen.

In-app purchases expected

Tekken is an iconic fighting game from the Bandai Namco stable and Tekken Mobile will allow players to collect more than 100 characters. There will be a Story Mode where you will create a three-player team to fight the baddie Revenant.

Besides the Story mode, there will also be the option to fight other users in Dojo mode.

There's a pre-registration campaign running right now; the more registrations, the more launch rewards are unlocked. As the rewards include things such as gems and coins, it's safe to say the game will be a free-to-play game with in-app purchases. That will likely be unpopular with gamers who'd prefer just to pay for a full game upfront but considering how popular the DC Injustice series has become, maybe a free-to-play model might not be such a bad thing.

Head over to the official website if you'd like to pre-register.
