The Samsung Galaxy A8 phablet has been released in Malaysia and it has the same 5.7-inch screen size as the Galaxy Note and it is also the Korean phonemaker's thinnest smart phone at 5.9mm.
The Galaxy A8 will be priced at RM 1,888 and the phone will support dualSIM and 4G LTE together with 32GB of internal storage. What really catches the eyes is the Super AMOLED display that gives you a Full HD 1920 x 1080p resolution which is really pleasant on the eyes. The phone will also be powered by a Samsung Exynos 5430 octa-core(4 x 1.8GHz + 4 x 1.3GHz0 processor and 2GB of RAM. Do note that the while this phone supports dualSIM, the second sim slot doubles as a microSD card slot so you wont be able to use your second SIM if you are using a microSD card.
The smartphone is also fitted with a 16MP f/1.9 main shooter that is almost similar to the Galaxy S6 but without the Optical Image Stabilisation function and your front shooter is a 5MP sensor. An awesome change is the upgrade of the battery capacity to a 3,050mAh battery which will definitely help with extending the time you can spend on the phone.
Overall the design is simple and looks very much like the older versions of the Galaxy Notes. the phone will be running on Android 5.1 Lollipop with TouchWiz on top. The Samsung Galaxy A8 is available in Gold, White and Black.
