Star Wars Rebels announces final season, drops trailer

Take a peek and prepare to say goodbye to this wellmade Lucasfilms animated series

Lucasfilm Animation's Star Wars Rebels starts its fourth and final season in October, with a trailer already out.

A prequel worth watching

The series first started airing in 2014 and creator David Filoni revealed it was his decision to end the show. Having worked on The Clone Wars series that was abruptly cancelled, Filoni said, "I can say I know what it's like when I don't get to end a series."

Star Wars Rebels will have 15 episodes to close its final season and a watch of the trailer sees characters such as Rogue One's Death Troopers as well as the appearance of Saw Gerrera, who was played by Forest Whittaker.

Also heard are references to the Death Star's code name (Stardust) as well as Director Krennic. What fans will probably anticipate the most is the appearance of the iconic X-Wings in the series, after many enquiries as to when they would be appearing.

So get the popcorn ready for October and one of the best Star Wars animated series of modern times.
