After the hype leading up to the Sony Z5 Premium Dual's arrival in Malaysia, Sony announced it would come in...eventually. Instead, it has made the Z5 Dual and the Z5 Compact available instead.
The three models all use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor, as well as a new 23MP Exmouth RS camera sensor (back) and 5MP Exmor R (front). A fingerprint sensor also makes an appearance. Display wise, the Z5 Premium has the largest at 5.5 inches, with the only 4K display in the bunch while the Z5 Dual (Full HD) comes in at 5.2-inches and the Z5 Compact, 4.6-inches (720p). The batteries are also different in size, 3,430mAh, 2,900mAh and 2,700mAh respectively.
Available in November 2015, the Xperia Z5 Dual is priced at RM2,699 while the Z5 Compact is RM2,299. As for the Z5 Premium, no price has been announced and it's only due by the end of the year. Promotion-wise, Sony is giving away RM427 worth of limited edition merchandise for the latest James Bond film Spectre with each Xperia Z5 purchase.
