Sony's also riding the 5G train by the looks of it. Specs for the Sony Xperia 1 II and Xperia 10 II had been leaked by XDA's Max Weinbach, revealing what appears to be Sony's first 5G smartphone with the Sony Xperia 1 II.
The Sony Xperia 1 II is set to have a 6.5” 4K HDR OLED panel with its popular 21:9 cinematic ratio. It comes with a 90Hz display, foregoing the high refresh rate screen to implement Motion Blur Reduction instead.
It comes with a triple camera setup on the left side this time, consisting of a 12MP main + 12MP ultrawide + 12MP telephoto that even comes with a ZEISS branding for its bigger sensors and faster In the front, you get the usual 8MP unit sitting in the top bezel.
It will also be packed with a Snapdragon 865 processor, making it a lot faster. Other than that you can expect a larger 4,000mAh battery, a 3X rear zoom lens, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage. And yes, you'd still see a 3.5mm headphone jack.
For the Xperia 10 II, there won't be 5G as it seems to be targeting mid-range consumers. It will remain to have a 2,520 x 1,080 OLED screen, paired with a Snapdragon 665 chip and 4GB of RAM. You cna also expect a triple camera setup on the back (8MP ultra-wide + 12MP standard + 8MP 2X zoom) and 128GB of internal storage.
No release date has been revealed, and it looks like based on the images leaked it would have been revealed during MWC 2020 had it not been cancelled.
