Sharp releases range of Android-powered 4k TVs in Malaysia

Sharp spoils us with a lot of shiny screens

Japanese company Sharp recently unveiled a range of new TVs in Malaysia: the UE630X, UA330X and LE275X series but the one that's most interesting is perhaps the UE630X. This is because this model series are 4K TVs powered by Android TV and that is a rarity for Malaysians.

The UE630X features an Ultra HD (93840 x 2160) display panel with LED backlight, and a quad core processor that powers everything. That’s not the only thing, the Android TV brings with it a whole chest of features such as Chromecast. There are the 50-inch,58-inch and 65-inch models available and are sold at RM 4,699, RM 7,999 and RM 10,999 respectively.

The UA330X is the more affordable range of the 4K TV lineup as it doesn’t have Android TV. There consists of the 40-inch, 50-inch, 58-inch and 65-inch sizes, and are priced at RM 2,699, RM 3,699, RM 5,499 and RM 8,999 respectively.

The most affordable of the three is the LE275x series as it is  installed with a 1920 x 1080 Panel (except the 32-inch model as it is installed with a WXGA 1366 x 768 panel). The models consists of the 32-inch, 40-inch, 50-inch, 58-inch, and 65-inchmodels, and are sold at RM 1,099, RM 1,599, RM 2,699, RM 3,999 and RM 6,499 respectively.

All three series of the Sharp TVs will be available by the end of August or early September 2015 but the 50-inch and 58-inch models of the LE275X series are already available in Malaysia.
