Samsung's Coral Blue Galaxy Note 7 a pre-order hit

Unique shade only available in North America at the moment

It's not known if it will ever make it to this side of the pond, but the Blue Coral version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is so popular the company can barely keep up with demand.

Both the Blue Coral and Silver shades are expected to be in short supply in the countries where those shades are available, with customers facing a wait of up to three weeks. Apparently Samsung underestimated the popularity of the units and were surprised at just how many people wanted a Blue Coral Galaxy Note 7.

Samsung Canada, in a statement said: "We've experienced an unprecedent number of orders" and will be working with its partners to address the demand for Samsung's latest flagship phone. Over here, the only shades available are Gold Platinum, Silver Titanium and Black Onyx. If Samsung follows its usual game plan, a Rose Gold version will probably be launched in another 6 months or so.

The Galaxy Note 7 is distinctive in the fact that Samsung decided to skip over naming it the Note 6, instead naming it the Note 7 despite being the sixth model in the line. Samsung also added an iris scanner this time around, a cool, though not essential feature as it still comes with a standard fingerprint scanner as well.
