If you've passed on the Samsung Galaxy S4 in anticipation of the S5 (with LTE!) then rejoice, for your long wait is over.
On paper the S5's specs are pretty sweet, with some health-related features like Samsung's Enhanced S Health allowing you to set fitness goals as well as monitor your calorie intake. It's almost like having a personal trainer in your pocket, all the time.
The camera also gets faster autofocus, IP67-standard water and dust resistance, an Ultra Power Saving Mode to extend your battery life by 10%, and easy authentication via fingerprint that'll work for Internet shopping too.
Preorder an S5 or get your hands on wearables
Need an S5 in your life? Major Malaysian telcos should have their preorders ready by today, March 28. So far, only Maxis and DiGi have the option available on their respective sites. The current RRP is RM2399.
Malaysia will only be getting two colours of the phone upon its launch, namely the Charcoal Black and Shimmery White versions. The Electric Blue and Copper Gold versions will be brought in later, though no timeline has been given as yet.
If you've been lusting for a Galaxy Gear 2 as well, you can grab one for RM899, or buy a Gear Fit at RM599. Unfortunately, both are only available from April 11, so Sammy fans will need to be a bit more patient.
Samsung also let slip that a whole raft of other devices will be coming soon, namely the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, Tab 4 10.1, Galaxy TabPRO 8.4, and TabPRO 12.2. At least there'll be those to look forward to.
