Realme, a subsidiary brand of OPPO, has officially launched their first 2019 smartphone, the Realme 3, in India just recently. Realme phones have always been budget-friendly especially for the younger generations yet provides very decent performance and technology. With that, the new Realme 3 continues where its predecessor left of with improvements for a better user experience and enjoyment.
The Realme 3 is powered by the MediaTek Helio P70 SoC with ColorOS 6.0 on Android 9.0 Pie, a choice of 3GB RAM with 32GB storage or 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, and a battery capacity of 4,230mAh. It's equipped with a 6.2-inch HD+ display with a teardrop notch that houses a 13MP selfie camera, and on its rear is a 13MP + 2MP dual lens camera setup.
The company has also announced the higher-end Pro variant of the Realme 3 to be launched in April, but has not revealed any specifications for now. In the meantime, the base model of the Realme 3 will be released in India first on 12 March priced at INR 8,999 (around MYR 518) for the 3GB + 32GB variant, and INR 10,999 (around MYR 633) for the the 4GB/64GB variant. A Malaysian launch for the Realme 3 series is yet to be announced by Realme Malaysia.
