Razer's latest gaming keyboard is water and dust-resistant

You don't have to fear spilling soda on your Razer BlackWidow Ultimate...though we still wouldn't recommend it

Razer just announced the 2017 edition of its BlackWidow Ultimate keyboard, and it now offers dust- and water-resistance.

A dream for the accident-prone

The mechanical keyboard comes with an IP54 rating, meaning it can handle the occasional spilled drink and you forgetting to clean dust off it for a few weeks. (It's worth noting here that the keyword is "resistant", not "waterproof", so don’t be immersing it in water to clean it.)

Besides being able to put up with your eating and cleaning habits, the keyboard will come with a dynamic range of lighting effects with customisable profiles, as well as individually backlit keys.

Particularly of interest to gamers will be the mechanical key switches optimised for gaming, like the the Razer Green Switch. It has a rated lifespan of 80 million keystrokes, so that might soften the blow of paying premium for this gaming beauty. The price? A pretty US$109 (S$148).
