Pro-tip to be an adventurer in Malaysia - get a GoPro HERO4

The action camera maker debuts two new 12MP snappers for the avid outdoorsman

Seen a camera strapped onto a helmet? That's probably a GoPro camera, known for its capability to capture images and videos where normal cameras can't. And you'll see more of them in Malaysia.

Local distributor FunSportz announced that it'll exclusively carry GoPro's new HERO4 lineup of rugged video gear. And they're looking better than ever, be it hooked to your helmet on a ride or sitting on your board as you battle the surf.

The HERO4 Black is the more premium of the two offerings, being able to capture video in 4K at 30fps. It also captures video stills at 8.3MP, with faster frame rates of 2.7K at 50fps and 1080p at 120 fps.

The HERO4 Silver, on the other hand, is its entry level sibling that sports a touchscreen interface for more intuitive navigation on top of being capable of video capture at 2.7K at 30fps, 1080p at 60 fps and 720p at 120fps.

Both cameras come with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. And there's the GoPro App that lets your smartphone or tablet double as a wireless remote.

Price-wise, it'll cost RM1849 for the HERO4 Black and RM 1499 for the HERO4 Silver.
