Leaks of Pocophone F2 Benchmark Shows RAM Downgrade

Hints Snapdragon 855 and Android Q too, but is it legit?

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Pocophone made waves last year with their debut smartphone the F1 for its impressive performance and specifications for its price. Now, a new benchmark for the Pocophone F2 has surfaced online and it’s showing some high-end specs with other peculiar details.

The benchmark details from Geekbench shows that the F2 features a Snapdragon 855, which isn’t that surprising given the predecessor sported the previous Snapdragon flagship processor as well. The details that are put into question are that the F2 will run on 4GB of RAM and on Android Q.

4GB of RAM would be a downgrade since even the base model of the F1 had 6GB of RAM. Furthermore, Android Q just entered beta not too long ago and if Pocophone is hoping for a summer launch as they did last August, it is highly unlikely that the F2 will have Android Q out of the box. We’ll be on the lookout for further update on the Pocophone F2 so stay tuned.
