After weeks of delay from its initial launch, the OPPO Find X2 series has finally been revealed to the public and there's no doubt about it; the device is all about its screen and cameras.
The series consists of the OPPO Find X2 and Find X2 Pro. They both come with a 6.7-inch 3168×1440 AMOLED display which has a whopping 120Hz refresh rate that has been customised specifically to have “one billion variations of color display capabilities.” The display comes with a maximum brightness of 1200nits, which is a level comparable to Samsung’s flagships while beating out many others.
Oh, that's not all for the display. There's also the “O1 Ultra Vision Engine” display chip which enhances video content, and the display is also capable of supporting HDR and “Motion Clear,” a technology that minimises motion jitter on videos with 30, 60, or even 120fps. And finally, underneath all that, you have your fingerprint sensor.
Next is the camera. In this case, the Find X2 Pro stands out with its triple-camera setup that consists not one, but two 48MP Sony sensors, one of which is for ultra-wide shots. Then there's the 13MP camera with a periscope design to achieve 10x optical zoom just like the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. There's also the "All Pixel Omni-directional PDAF" in which the Find X2 Pro is the first to support this feature which will ensure great autofocus. You will also get a 60x hybrid zoom, an upgraded Night Mode that supports said zoom, as well as "Ultra Steady Video.
The regular OPPO Find X2 isn't that far off with its triple camera setup though the ultra wide 48MP sensor is instead replaced with a 12MP one. The 13MP telephoto camera isn't able to support periscope zoom either. Both smartphones will have a 32MP selfie shooter on the front.
To support all this is the Snapdragon 865 chipset that is capable of 5G, 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM on both models as well as 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage on the Find X2 and 512GB on the Find X2 Pro. Battery-wise there's a 4,200 mAh battery on the Find X2 and a 4,260 mAh battery on the Find X2 Pro, equipped with 65W SuperVOOC fast charging over USB-C.
To make this premium flagship phone an even more flagship feel and look, the devices will also be available in two special materials — vegan leather and ceramic. There’s also a slick “Ocean Glass” colour to look out for too. To wrap it all up, it will also have NFC, dual stereo speakers enhanced by Dolby, and a glass design.
The price for the devices revealed to be 1199 EUROS (~RM5650) for the OPPO Find X2 Pro and 999 EUROS (~RM4708) for the OPPO Find X2. For local pricing and availability, the expected launch date will be on 10 March 2020 so stay tuned.
