OPPO has unveiled the brand new “A Series 2020” in Malaysia, their latest offering to the mid-level smartphone market. The A9 2020 features a quad-camera equipped with a 45MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP portrait lens and 2MP mono lens. Up in the front, the phone features 16MP selfie camera. From an audio standpoint, it does come with dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The A9 2020 comes with a 6.5” HD+ LCD display and it runs on a Snapdragon 665 processor. If the 128GB onboard storage isn’t enough, you can always add more via a dedicated microSD card slot. Power is supplied by a huge 5,000mAh battery that charges via USB-C. It has a unique feature where it supports reverse charging even though, Unfortunately, it does not have fast charging capabilities. Out of the box, it runs on Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS skin on top and it has 8GB RAM with 128GB storage.
With the Oppo A5 2020, it shares all the same specs aside from having a 12MP main camera and an 8MP selfie camera instead. It also only has 3GB RAM and 64GB of storage. The A9 2020 is officially priced at MYR1,199 and the A5 2020 is priced at MYR699 respectively.
Pre-orders are now available from 18th to 27th September and the devices will officially go on sale on 28 September. The two “A Series 2020” smartphones can be purchased at any OPPO Concept Store, OPPO Online Store and more.
