OnePlus 5T brings iPhone X gestures to Android

The latest Open Beta 3 for the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T supports gestures that are a lot like ones used with the iPhone X.

More intuitive

For gesture navigation via your OnePlus phone, toggle the setting that hides the usual Android navigation bar from view. Once that's done, a tutorial will pop up to show you how to use three gestures:

  1. Swiping left or right at the bottom of the screen, to go back
  2. Swiping from the middle and holding down, to multitask
  3. Swiping up from the middle of the bottom of the display, to go to the home screen

Using these swipes will reduce the need for on-screen button shortcuts and make your home display cleaner-looking. You also get a more fluid experience.

While other Android manufacturers have created their own gesture navigations, OnePlus’ version might be the best yet – not only is it easy to use, it makes switching to Android easier for iOS users. Here's a link to the latest OnePlus ROM downloads.
