The latest Open Beta 3 for the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T supports gestures that are a lot like ones used with the iPhone X.
For gesture navigation via your OnePlus phone, toggle the setting that hides the usual Android navigation bar from view. Once that's done, a tutorial will pop up to show you how to use three gestures:
- Swiping left or right at the bottom of the screen, to go back
- Swiping from the middle and holding down, to multitask
- Swiping up from the middle of the bottom of the display, to go to the home screen
Using these swipes will reduce the need for on-screen button shortcuts and make your home display cleaner-looking. You also get a more fluid experience.
While other Android manufacturers have created their own gesture navigations, OnePlus’ version might be the best yet – not only is it easy to use, it makes switching to Android easier for iOS users. Here's a link to the latest OnePlus ROM downloads.
