Earlier this month in IFA 2015, Sony didn’t only launch the new Xperia Z5 but also a tons of other products such as headphones and Walkmans which are all part of their Hi-Res Audio offerings. The headphones known as h.ear and also new Walkmans will be released in Malaysia this October.
The h.ear Headphones has three different variants with one being a headband type featuring a HD driver that reproduces sounds up to 60k, dubbed the h.ear on. The second variant, the h.ear in features a foldable structure which you can store in its pouch and is designed to offer exceptional bass experience. The third variant is an earplug which claims to be the world’s first hi-res earphones with noise cancelling feature and it is called the h.ear in NC. The h.ear in NC also has a built in battery that lasts up to 16 hours. The h.ear in NC is going for RM 499 and the h.ear on for RM 699.
Aside from the h.ear ranges of headphones Sony also released the XBA-300AP headphones which is also another Hi-Res Audio in ear headphone. The headphones feature three Balanced Armature Drivers with brass sound path and detachable cable so you can use much more premium cables such as the MUC-C series specialist cables. The XBA-300AP is going for RM899.
The Walkmans released by Sony are the NW-ZX100, NW-A25 and the NW-A26HN. All three has different designs but supports most of Sony’s in-house audio enhancements. The ZX100 has a 3-inch display while the other two has a 2.2-inch display. Storage wise the ZX100 has 128GB, the A25 with 16GB and the A26HN has 32GB of internal storage. The ZX 100’s battery life lasts for up to 70 hourse while the A25 and the A26HN lasts up to 50 hours.
The ZX100 is priced at RM1,999 while the A26HN is at RM1,099 and the A25 at RM799.
