The latest phone to be spotted on the SIRIM regulator website is the Moto X Play. In the US, the phone is known as the Droid Maxx 2. A pity we're only seeing this phone instead of the higher-specced Moto X Style. Still, it's not all bad - the phone does have a nice 5.5-inch Full HD screen as well as a Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor with 2GB of RAM.
Camera-wise, there's a 21MP main camera with dual-tne LED flash and 5MP front camera. The phone has two storage options, 16GB and 32GB, though there's no telling if Motorola will bring in both sizes.
One good reason to consider the phone is its sizeable 3,630mAh battery and it also comes with a water-repellant coating. Expect dual-SIM support, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE and 802.11n WiFi.
The only question now is pricing. Can it compete with the likes of Huawei, OnePlus and Xiaomi? We'll have to wait and see.
